What Canva gives you
Canva's scrapbook maker starts from templates, with stock photos, graphics and AI tools in the editor.
It is free, with Pro at £100 or US$144 a year for one person.
Share an edit link and others work on the same design with you.
Printing a Canva scrapbook
Canva's scrapbook page says pages print one by one, to be bound into an album yourself.
Separately, Canva Print sells a photo book from US$19.50 or £23: 20 to 98 inside pages, glued, softcover or hardcover, and no lay-flat.
Its UK page gives free standard delivery in 7 to 12 days.
Sound and video
Canva adds audio tracks and video to a design, which suits a slideshow or a reel. A printed page cannot play them.
In tbf scrapbook a clip or voice note sits on the page itself. It plays online and in the downloaded book, and the printed copy has a code that opens it.
When tbf scrapbook is the better fit
When several people are adding to one book. They send photos, words and recordings from a link without touching your design, and you choose what goes in.
When you want a book that turns pages online and prints in A4 portrait, A4 landscape or 21 cm square, as softcover, hardback or lay-flat.
Canva stays the better tool for a single poster-like page, or when you already design in it every day.
Steps
Decide on a page or a book
One decorated page is a Canva job. Twenty pages someone will turn are a book job.
Decide who else adds to it
An edit link opens your whole design to everyone. An invitation link brings their material to you.
Check how it prints
Look at the binding, the page count and lay-flat before you start.
Check where the sound goes
If a voice or a clip matters, find out how it reaches the person holding the paper copy.
