Making your Bangkok photo book
Bangkok is temple roofs below and glass towers above, and the book can set them side by side. Open with Wat Arun from the river and the gold roofs of the Grand Palace. Spread two is the city from a rooftop bar, Sathorn and the river curving away. Put the traffic on Sukhumvit and the Skytrain overhead on spread three. Close with a tuk-tuk ride at night, or the floating market at Damnoen Saduak, a morning out of town.
Watch Wat Arun from the east bank at sunset, when it turns dark against the sky and then the floodlights come on. Cover your shoulders and knees for the Grand Palace. The ticket from a Chao Phraya Express boat and the laminated menu from a noodle stall are both worth a picture taken from above.
