Each design is a starting look: paper, colours, type and cover layout. The photo frames start empty and the words are yours. You can change any of it.

There are three shapes. A4 portrait and A4 landscape are 21 x 29.7 cm. The square is 21 x 21 cm.

There are four covers: softcover, hardback, matte hardback and lay-flat. Softcover and hardback are printed in the UK. Lay-flat is made in Europe and takes longer to arrive.

A 24-page book holds about 40 to 70 photos. You can add pages in the studio before you order.

Which shape

Landscape gives a wide view or a group photo the full width of the open book, 59.4 cm across. Portrait suits one person to a page. Square takes tall and wide phone photos without cropping either.

Which cover

Softcover is the lightest and the cheapest to post. Choose it for a party book or for several copies.

Hardback is stiff and lasts on a shelf. Matte hardback has an uncoated paper that does not shine under a lamp. Choose it for photos taken indoors or at night.

Lay-flat opens fully flat, so one photo can cross both pages without losing its middle to the fold. It costs more and is made in Europe. It goes up to 122 pages; the other covers go up to 300.

Pages and photos

A softcover starts at 20 pages and a hardback at 24. At two or three photos a page, 24 pages hold 50 to 70 photos with a few large ones, and 40 pages hold 90 to 120.

The studio counts pages as you add them and shows the price of the book as it stands. The cost of each extra page is in the price table on every design.

Which photos to use

Use the full-size files from your phone or camera. Screenshots and photos saved from a messaging app are smaller and can print soft.

After you order

You check a proof of every page first. The book is then printed and posted to you. UK delivery is one price for the first copy and less for each extra copy of the same book.

Each design shows its price for every shape and cover, with UK delivery beside it. The lowest is a 20-page softcover.

How long does a photo book take to arrive?

Softcover and hardback are printed in the UK and come sooner. Lay-flat is made in Europe and takes longer. Each cover shows its usual wait.

Can I change a design after I start?

Yes. Paper, colours, type and layout can all be changed in the studio.

Can I order more than one copy?

Yes, up to 20 copies of the same book in one order. Each copy after the first costs less to post.
