Each design is made for one place. Lisbon has a yellow tram, Bali a frangipani, Reykjavík a puffin. The type, the colours and the motif change from book to book, so a shelf of them reads as a set. The spine carries the place and a number from 01 to 100.

The open book on each page shows a photo of the place, so you can see how one sits on the page. In your book every page is empty until you add your own. The dates line on the cover is yours to fill: a month, two months or a year.

If your trip covered several places, pick the one you will remember it by, or make one book for each stop. A week away usually fills 24 to 40 pages.

What to put in it

Open with the view you took first, out of the plane or the hotel window. Then a spread for each day or each part of the place: the old town, the beach, the food, the day trip. Keep a spread at the end for small things: tickets, a receipt, a sign you liked. Photograph those flat in daylight and they print like the rest.

Shape and cover

Portrait suits most cities, because streets and buildings are tall. Landscape suits coasts, lakes and mountains. Square suits food and close-up photos. Hardback is the usual choice for a book that will stand on a shelf. Lay-flat lets one wide photo run across both pages without a dip in the middle.

Changing the cover

You can change the dates, the place name and the line under it. The motif and colours stay as designed, so the book matches the rest of the set.

Is my place on the list?

There are 100, most of them in Europe, with Bali, Phuket, Tokyo, New York and the Caribbean among the rest. If yours is not here, pick the closest design and change the place name.

Can I use my own photo on the cover?

Not on these. The cover is the drawn design. Your photos go on every page inside.

How many photos fit?

About 40 to 60 photos at 24 pages and 70 to 100 at 40 pages, depending on how many you put on each page.
