Cairo photo book

A4 portrait, 21 x 29.7 cm, Hardback, 24 pages

Cairo's book runs oldest first, under a sand coloured cover with a felucca sailing past the pyramids. Giza at opening time leads, then the minarets of Sultan Hassan, Khan el-Khalili's lanes and Cairo Tower lit over the Nile.

Shown with sample photos. You add your own and can change every page.

Making your Cairo photo book

Cairo is loud and huge, and the sail on the cover is its quiet half: a felucca on the Nile at sunset. Run the book oldest first. The pyramids at Giza come before anything, with the edge of the city visible behind them. Medieval Cairo follows, the minarets of Sultan Hassan and the lanes of Khan el-Khalili. The Grand Egyptian Museum is a spread by itself. The river at night, with Cairo Tower lit up across it, brings the book to now.

The Giza plateau opens at seven, and the first hour has the softest light and the fewest people. Haze sits over the city most days, so the pyramids look best from close up rather than from a rooftop. Your museum ticket and the paper bill from a koshari shop are worth a corner each.

What you change

The photos and title are samples. You add your own photos, type your own title, and change the words, layout and colours of any page. You see a proof of every page before you pay.
