Making your Cornwall photo book
Cornwall is a coast book, and a tall page gives the cliffs their height. Start at Land's End or the granite above Porthcurno, where the water turns that clear green. Kynance Cove on the Lizard deserves the second spread, with its dark serpentine stacks standing out of the sand. Use spread three for the north coast harbours, St Ives or Port Isaac. Close with a pasty on a harbour wall, photographed quickly before a gull takes it.
Kynance only shows its beach for a few hours around low tide, so check the tide table before you drive down the Lizard. The north coast faces west and gets the sunsets. A paper pasty bag from a St Ives bakery, laid flat, is worth a corner of a page. Bring a lens cloth, because the sea spray finds the phone.
