Making your Goa photo book
Goa is two places, the beaches and the Portuguese towns, and the book is better for having both. Palolem or Agonda in the south can open it, a scooter parked on the sand at sunset. Fontainhas in Panjim answers that, with its yellow and blue houses and tiled name plates. The white churches of Old Goa and the Basilica of Bom Jesus sit on the third spread. A fish thali and the Saturday night market at Arpora round it off.
The beach shacks only open in the dry season, November to March, so a monsoon trip looks greener but quieter. On the west facing beaches the late light turns gold for about half an hour before sunset. A shack menu with the day's catch written on it is worth a picture of its own.
