Salzburg photo book
A4 portrait, 21 x 29.7 cm, Hardback, 24 pages
Salzburg is a music town, and its pink book has a violin and bow on the front. Shoot the pages from the high points: the fortress terrace above the domes, the Mönchsberg cliff path and the Mirabell Gardens looking back over the river.

Making your Salzburg photo book
Salzburg sits on the Salzach with the fortress above it, and most of the book can be shot from a few high points. The terrace at Hohensalzburg looks down on the cathedral domes for spread one. The Mönchsberg lift and the cliff path give spread two its rooftops. Put the Mirabell Gardens and the view back over the river on spread three. Mozart's yellow birthplace on Getreidegasse, and a day out to Hallstatt, make the last spread.
Salzburg gets plenty of grey skies, and they suit the green copper domes. Concerts at the Residenz and the Marionette Theatre hand out printed programmes worth photographing flat. Order a Salzburger Nockerl, which arrives as three peaks of meringue standing for the hills around the town, and photograph it before the spoon goes in.
