Making your Jamaica photo book
The bird on the cover is the doctor bird, a hummingbird with two long tail feathers that lives only in Jamaica. Ocho Rios and the climb up Dunn's River Falls make a wet start. Negril follows, Seven Mile Beach and Rick's Café on the cliffs at sunset. The food deserves a spread of its own, jerk chicken off a drum at Boston Bay and ackee with saltfish. The Blue Mountains and a coffee farm, or the Bob Marley Museum in Kingston, are the quiet end.
Rick's Café fills up an hour before sunset, so get there early for a place on the wall. The Blue Mountains are clearest first thing, before cloud comes in around midday. Peel a Red Stripe label and press it flat for a photo.
