Lake Como photo book

A4 portrait, 21 x 29.7 cm, Hardback, 24 pages

A varnished wooden boat cuts across a patch of blue water on a sand coloured cover. Lake Como is best seen from the ferry, so the book goes from Bellagio on its point to Varenna's coloured houses and the gardens of Villa Carlotta.

Shown with sample photos. You add your own and can change every page.

Making your Lake Como photo book

Lake Como is long and narrow, and the book can follow it by boat. Bellagio, on the point where the lake splits in two, starts things off. Across the water, Varenna has the coloured houses and the lakeside walk. The villas come next, Villa del Balbianello on its headland and the gardens of Villa Carlotta at Tremezzo. Give the last spread to the mountains at the north end, which still have snow on them in spring.

A ferry pass covers the middle of the lake, between Bellagio, Varenna and Menaggio; the fast boats cost extra. Summer is often hazy, and the peaks are sharpest in spring and autumn. Early in the morning, before the first boats, the water is flat enough to hold reflections. Ask for the menu where they serve missoltini, the dried lake shad, and take it with you.
