Making your Stockholm photo book
Stockholm is built across fourteen islands with boats between them. Gamla Stan comes first, the narrow lanes and the ochre and red houses on Stortorget. Look back at it from Södermalm, from the path along Monteliusvägen, with City Hall across the water. Djurgården has the Vasa museum and Skansen. End on a ferry out into the archipelago; Vaxholm is about an hour away.
In June the sun hardly sets, and the light at eleven at night is often the best of the day. The Vasa hall is kept dark to protect the wood, so turn the flash off and rest the phone on a rail. Keep the boat ticket for the first page.
