Making your Rio photo book
The waves on the cover are the black and white pavement along Copacabana, and a Rio book can start with your feet on it. Copacabana and Ipanema share the first spread, with the Dois Irmãos peaks at the end of the beach. Sugarloaf by cable car at sunset is the second. Christ the Redeemer, above the clouds or in them, is the third. Santa Teresa and the tiled Selarón steps in Lapa end the book on the ground.
Corcovado is often in cloud by late morning, so take the first train up from Cosme Velho. At Arpoador the crowd claps the sun down most evenings. A caipirinha menu from a beach kiosk is worth taking home.
