A photo album book is printed like any other book. There are no sleeves, no sticky pages and no prints to buy first.

If you want an empty album for prints you already have, we do not sell one.

If your photos are on your phone or computer, this is the album for them.

Old prints can go in too. Scan them, or photograph them flat by a window in daylight, and add them like any other photo.

Album book or empty album

An empty album holds 6 x 4 inch prints in fixed slots, all one size.

An album book prints photos at any size: one photo across two pages, or six small ones on a page. It leaves room for names and dates beside them.

It is thinner for the number of photos, and nothing slides out of a sleeve.

How the album is made

The studio puts your photos in a design's frames. You move and swap them from there.

Type a title for the cover and names and dates under the photos. Then read the proof of every page and order.

Choosing an album look

For a traditional album, choose a design with white margins, photo corners or a plain cloth-coloured cover.

For a modern one, choose a full-photo design where the photos run to the edge of the page.

Size and cover

A4 portrait is 21 x 29.7 cm, A4 landscape 29.7 x 21 cm and square 21 x 21 cm. Landscape suits rows of photos side by side. Square suits grids.

Choose hardback for an album you will take down from the shelf for years. Choose softcover for copies to give away.

How many photos fit

A 40-page album book holds about 90 to 120 photos at a comfortable size. Pages of small photos in a grid hold more.

Is a photo album book the same as a photo book?

Yes. Both names mean the same printed, bound book.

Can I put old prints in a photo album book?

Yes, once they are scanned or photographed. They are printed into the book with your other photos.

Do you sell empty photo albums?

No. Every album here is printed with your own photos.

How many pages can an album book have?

A hardback has 24 to 300 pages and a softcover 20 to 300.
